Title: Effects of Propofol,Thiopental and Etomidate on Vomiting after Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
Abstract: Objective To observe effects of propofol, thiopental and etomidate on vomiting after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods We divided 330 cases that underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy in our hospital were randomly into three groups with 110 cases in each:propofol group, thiopental group and etomidate group. The dose of intravenous anesthesia with propofol, thiopental and etomidate was 2mg/kg, 5 mg/kg and 0.4mg/kg, respectively. Results From 0 to 6 postoperative hours, the incidence of nausea and vomiting in the propofol group was significantly lower than that in the two other groups(P0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of nausea and vomiting between the thiopental group and etomidate group(P0.05).From 6 to 48 postoerative hours, there was no statistical significance in the incidence of nausea and vomiting between the three groups (P0.05).Conclusion Propofol has an anti-nausea and anti-emetic effect in the early postoperative period of laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
