Title: MPCNL combined with ESWL in treating renal stones
Abstract: 【Objective】 To sum up the experience and clinical effect of minimally-invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy(MPCNL) combined with extracorporal shock wave lithotripsy(ESWL) and repeated MPCNL in treating renal stones.【Methods】 The information of 35 cases with renal stones who were treated by MPCNL combined with ESWL were analyzed.Among them,21 cases had casting mold renal stones,14 cases had frequently-occurring renal stones.【Results】All the cases were performed on with one-stage MPCNL,28 cases with combined one-stage MPCNL and ESWL,12 cases underwent two session MPCNL.The total clearing rate of renal stones was 85.7%.The average operation time was 160 minutes,3 cases had a postoperative fever,2 cases had extravasated irrigations, and there was no severe hemorrhage or blood transfusion.【Conclusions】MPCNL combined with ESWL is an effective method in treating relative complex renal stones which has the advantages of little wound, quick recovery and easier popularization.
