The present k-εmodel is found to resolve two serious weaknesses common to previous k-εmodels; i.e., it can predict correctly all the major turbulence quantities such as Reynolds stress, turbulence energy and dissipation rate near the wall, and also the distribution of eddy viscosity even in the region far from the wall. As a result, the distributions of mean velocity, turbulence energy, Reynolds stress and eddy viscosity are in close agreement with the available experimental data and both the empirical and theoretical results over the entire cross section of both flows.Read More
