Title: A case of Osler-Weber-Rendu disease of the oral mucosa.
Abstract: We report a case of Osler-Weber-Rendu disease occurring in the oral mucosa. A 56-year-old woman visited our clinic complaining of blood oozing from the oral mucosa. The patient had received treatment for anemia for about 30 years. The involvement of hereditary factors was suspected because of her grandfather, mother and two sisters had hemorrhagic diseases. We observed peripheral vasodilation of the oral mucosa of the patient, but there were no gross signs of bleeding. We treated part of the oral mucosa by cryosurgery.
