Abstract: Methyl demeton 0.025% spray (250 ml a.i./ha) was the most effective insecticide against the safflower aphid for four weeks, followed by monocrotophos 0.04% and dimethoate 0.03% sprays. Methyl demeton also gave the highest seed yield, appeared selective to the coccinellid predators, and was the most economical aphicide.
