Title: Effect of plant growth regulators on growth and yield of snow pea (Pisum sativum var. saccharatum)
Abstract: An experiment entitled Effect of plant growth regulators on growth and yield of snow pea (Plsum tathnim var. saccharatum) was carried out at Vegetable Research farm, Department of Horticulture, Allahabad Agricultural Institute during the year 2007–08 under Allahabad agro-climatic conditions. All the treatments were laid out In randomized Block with three replications. Minimum days talten to for fifty percent germination (9 days), maximum plant height (114.30 cm), maximum number of branches per plant (18.00), maximum number of leaves (70.60), maximum number of leaves per plant (63.13), maximum leaf area per leaf (36.03 cm2) maximum leaf area per plant (2274.72 cm2), maximum leaf area index (7.58), minimum days to flowering (42.66), days to first pod picking (84.00), minimum days to fifty per cent harvesting (85.00), maximum number of pods per plant (14.50), maximum pod length (10.00 cm), maximum pod width (1.85 cm), maximum number of seeds per pod (9.00) and maximum pod weight (704.00g/100 pods) were found In QA3 ® 250 ppm. The maximum net return Rs. 245908.00 was found In GA3: @ 250 ppm whereas, the highest B.C. ratio was obtained with CCC @ 300 ppm.
