Abstract:Objective To analyze the relevant influential factors for L2-4 bone mineral density(BMD) in female patients with type 2 diabetes complicated metabolic syndrome.Methods 227 female patients with type 2 ...Objective To analyze the relevant influential factors for L2-4 bone mineral density(BMD) in female patients with type 2 diabetes complicated metabolic syndrome.Methods 227 female patients with type 2 diabetes were grouped according to the metabolic syndrom.The changes of L2-4 BMD and their risk factors were analyzed.Results BMD in MS group was higher than that in non-MS group(0.81±0.13 vs 0.78±0.12,P0.05).BMD was positively correlated with BMI and body weight(r=0.151,P 0.05;r=0.191,P0.01).BMD was negatively correlated with age(r=-0.211,P0.01).The multiple stepwise regression analysis demonstrated that BMD was strongly correlated with body weight and age.Conclusion Bone mineral density and fracture risk in female patients with type 2 diabetes complicated metabolic syndrome were correlated with obesity and age.Weight may be an important protective factor.Read More
