Abstract: Segregation et fragmentation dans les metropoles est un ouvrage collectif issu d’une journee d’etudes realisee en 2011 a l’Universite Lille 3, ou les trois directeurs, Marion Carrel, Paul Cary et Jean‑Michel Wachsberger, sont maitres de conference en sociologie. Les quatre parties qui composent l’ouvrage (« Concepts et mesures », « Contextes », « Impact des institutions », « Acteurs et contournements ») reunissent quinze contributions, en plus de l’introduction et de la conclusion ; quatre autres contributions a la journee d’etudes ont ete publiees dans un numero recent de la revue Geographie, economie, societe1. Ces quinze contributions sont diverses en termes disciplinaires (sociologie, anthropologie, geographie, science politique, urbanisme), de demarche (discussion et analyse theorique et methodologique, etudes de cas empiriques), de methode et d’echelle (analyse statistique, enquetes par entretien, enquetes ethnographiques, enquetes issues de programmes de recherche‑action), en termes d’approche et de terrain.
