Title: New species of Acremonium, Cylindrocarpon and Verticillium from soil in the Bonin (Ogasawara) Islands, Japan
Abstract: Three new soil fungi from the Bonin (Ogasawara) Islands, Japan are described: Acremonium macroclavatum, characterized by large clavate guttulate conidia; Cylindrocarpon boninense, characterized by 3–7-septate clavate macroconidia, terminal or intercalary chlamydospores, rarely produced unicellular clavate microconidia; and Verticillium hahajimaense, characterized by conidial heads bearing cylindrical conidia, and catenulate chlamydospores.
