It presents the results of an analysis of self-regulatory competence of experts and novice interpreters, using data from retrospective studies, interviews, and performance analysis. The findings revealed differences between the two groups with respect to the following processes: metacognition, emotion regulation, self-observation, and self-judgment. On the basis of these findings, recommendations for training and professional development opportunities as well as for further research are discussed.Read More
