Abstract: Dominique Briquel, Le problème des Dauniens, p. 7-40. Les Dauniens, peuple connu principalement dans la Pouille, où les Grecs désignaient sous ce nom une population dont le nom indigène était celui d'Apuliens, ont laissé des traces en Campanie et jusque dans le Latium. Cette extension, corroborée par d'autres faits parallèles, inviterait à considérer que cette appellation ethnique correspondait originellement à des populations osco-ombriennes et ne s'est appliquée que secondairement aux Dauniens historiques, pour lesquels il faut faire intervenir un nouvel apport transadriatique.
