Title: Some recent developments in clinical neuropsychology
Abstract: Three areas of current interest in clinical neuropsychology are reviewed; qualitative vs. quantitative assessment, the impact of Luria on clinical neuropsychology, and different approaches to rehabilitation of brain damaged patients. Major issues in these areas are reviewed with regard to their current status, their implications for professional practice, and the theoretical and methodological controversies that have arisen in these areas among neuropsychologists of differing orientations. Attempts are made to predict some future directions of clinical neuropsychology in the assessment and rehabilitation areas.
