Title: Determining molecular weight distribution and long-chain branching of polyethylene
Abstract: A combination of methods of rapid sedimentation and gel-permeation chromatography was used to study molecular weight characteristics and branching of industrial polyethylene samples. The method proposed for evaluating molecular weight distribution of branched polymers enables errors arising in determining molecular weight distribution both by gel-permeation chromatography and rapid sedimentation to be overcome.
