Title: The Paenitentiale Cantabrigiense. A witness of the Caroliginian contribution to the tenth-century reforms in England
Abstract: The Paenitentiale Cantabrigiense, formerly known as the P. Sangermanense, had only partially been edited by H. Wasserschleben from a 17th-century manuscript from St. Germain. This article provides a new edition of the P. Cantabrigiense, edited from its only extant medieval manuscript witness, the 10th-century manuscript Cambridge, Corpus Christi College, 320. The sources of the penitential are analysed in an attempt to establish the time and place of origin of the text.
