This report evaluates the first six months of the program from the start of its first activity. The program has two components: 'international' and 'Congo Basin.' This paper will only report on the 'international' component, since 'Congo Basin' will join the program after its first six months. These opportunities occur through activities and a network: activities are events, like field trips or workshops, gathering participants who work on the three main tropical moist forests and who bring together a variety of sectoral expertise; and the network is an ongoing forum of exchange through electronic mail or the web site specially created for the program among a constant subgroup of the activity participants, the core group.Read More
