Title: THE CO-ORDINATION OF HIGHWAY AND TRAFFIC ENGINEERING
Abstract: The article defines the role of traffic engineering as the phase of engineering which deals with the planning and geometric design of streets, highways, and abutting lands, and with traffic operations thereon, as their use is related to the safe, convenient and economic transportation of persons and goods. Highway engineering, on the other hand, takes care of the basic planning and location of the highway. The importance of the coordination of highway and traffic engineering disciplines is discussed.
