Title: Le lien parlementaire en 1848. Analyse comparée des candidatures aux élections en Seine-et-Oise et en Basse-Autriche
Abstract: Cet article propose une comparaison entre les élections aux assemblées constituantes de 1848 en France et en Autriche, du point de vue des critères reconnus et validés par les différents groupes d'acteurs pour effectuer leurs choix électoraux. Si dans certains discours, les programmes et positions idéologiques des candidats apparaissent comme la raison essentielle de ces choix, cette perspective coexiste avec d'autres dans lesquelles l'aptitude personnelle et/ou l'appartenance à un groupe local ou social déterminé éclipsent le contenu idéologique de l'offre politique. Effectivement, les nouveaux électeurs paysans de la Basse-Autriche rejetèrent en majorité les arguments qui leur avaient été proposés par les élites, pour choisir des représentants au sein de leur propre « état ». En revanche, les électeurs du département de Seine-et-Oise acceptèrent en majorité un modèle électoral qui prolongeait à bien des égards celui pratiqué sous le système censitaire : les députés qu'ils désignèrent avaient presque tous déjà été des acteurs politiques reconnus sous la monarchie de Juillet.
