Title: Sozialpolitik in Deutschland, in anderen hochentwickelten Ländern und in der Europäischen Union — Welche Spielräume bleiben für die nationale Politik?
Abstract: Die Politik im allgemeinen und die Sozialpolitik im besonderen sind in verstärktem Maße Einflüssen ausgesetzt, die sich als „Europäisierung“ auf den Begriff bringen lassen. Diese Europäisierung ist Teil der allgemeinen Internationalisierung von Wirtschaft und Politik, die sich an Trends hin zur Vertiefung der internationalen Arbeitsteilung und Globalisierung, zur Ausweitung und Intensivierung des Welthandels, zur Verstärkung der internationalen Kapitalverflechtung sowie zur weltwirtschaftlichen Integration der nationalen Volkswirtschaften aufzeigen läßt (Rische 1995). In der jüngsten Zeit beschränkt sich diese Internationalisierung nicht mehr lediglich auf die wirtschaftlichen Prozesse selbst, sondern auch die Wirtschaftspolitik wird mehr und mehr internationalisiert. Neben OECD, Internationalen Währungsfonds und Weltbank ist insbesondere die Europäische Union (EU) Schrittmacher dieser Entwicklung.
