Title: Оценка репрезентативности сети ООПТ Пермского края
Abstract: The problem of creating the systems of specially protected natural areas adequately representing the geographical diversity of different territories is of high interest today. The creation of representative systems of territorial nature protection always requires comprehensive assessment of the representativeness of the existing network of protected areas. In Perm region there is only one such work that was done at the end of the last century. Since then, significant changes were made to the region borders, the structure and the size of the protected areas network. Also the structure of natural management has changed. In this paper we evaluate the representativeness of the protected areas network of Perm region. For this purpose the representation of the protected areas network is analyzed with regard to landscape and biological diversity. The author identified the availability of natural areas of the region in specially protected areas, and the representation of wetlands in the protected areas network. Protected species of plants and animals represented in specially protected natural areas were identified and the species that require developing the territorial protection measures were listed. The representativeness of important bird areas, genetical forest reserves and valuable soil objects were provided. The size of protected areas necessary to complete the nature protection network was determined. The reported study was partially supported by RFBR, research project No. 14-05-31262.
