Title: Sea Level Changes Scenarios During Holocene in Bangladesh
Abstract: Paleo mean sea levels (MSL) are reconstructed from a wide variety of environmental indicators, including morphological and archaeological data, palaeosols and other lithostratigraphic changes. Litho-bio-chrono-stratigraphic techniques to reconstruct the Holocene sea level changes are well established and have been applied successfully in many coastal areas of the world (Tooley 1978; Shennan 1982; Ireland 1987; Islam 2001a, b). In this study, lithofacies characteristics, mangal peat, and paleophysiographic evidence have been considered to indicate the past position (space) of the relative sea level.
