Title: Population and Per-Capita Income in Simulation Models
Abstract: Perhaps the most important of all unsolved questions concerning the decline in population growth are those related to the long term development of economic growth. A smaller population will of course necessarily lead to a smaller national income or GNP if we hold all other factors of production constant. But the question whether a declining population will have a positive or negative effect on per-capita income has brought about very different answers in the literature.
