Title: Analyzing the effect of teacher assistant project on science curriculum improvement of sixth grade elementary student
Abstract: Recently teacher assistant project is used for improving students’ academic situation in various courses of educational system in Iran. In this project as a new method, students and teachers can participate actively in the promotion of learning. The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of teacher assistant project on science curriculum improvement of sixth grade elementary students in Urmia city, Iran. This research is an experimental one with pre- test and post- test and one control- group. Research sample contain 32 students that are placed in experimental and control groups randomly. Results of one way covariance analysis (ANOVA) indicate improvement of experiment group’s scores in comparison to control group’s scores in post- test of mathematics curriculum after research intervention. In long term teacher assistant project can explain 0.149% of students’ improvement in science curriculum. So obtained results indicate that running collaborative learning is helpful in students’ academic improvement.
