Title: Wheel Load Distribution Characteristics of Steel Plate Girder Bridge by Plane Grillage Analysis
Abstract: The composite steel gilder bridge deck in real consists of the concrete slab, the main girder, the floor beam, and shear connectors so that it is very difficult to develope the accurate 3-dimensional analysis model of the deck. Therefore, the practical approximation should be adopted to predict the consistent load distribution behaviors of the bridge deck In this study, the plane grillage method including the generation of the plane grillage mesh and the application technique of the wheel load is presented in order to investigate the load distribution characteristics of the composite steel girder bridge. In addition, the load distirbution effect according to variation of the torsional constant is analyzed and the load distribution coefficients considering characteristics of several parameters are presented.
