Recently, because computer aided editing have been mainly relied on manual compilation, lots of time and cost are needed to make a topographic map. Therefore in this study we try to make a topographic map automatically from a digital map Ver.2.0. To achieve this purpose, based on the previous studies which focused on analyzing correlation between the digital map and the 1/5,000 scale topographic map and developing basic modules for topographic mapping program, we try to implement more automatized modules which are satisfied with the 1/5,000 scale topographic map series specification. Each module is applied to 1/5,000 scale digital maps Ver.2.0 and the results are analyzed with the same area of topographic map which was published by the National Geographic Information Institute.Read More
