Title: Variational Principles for Periodic Solutions of Autonomous Ordinary Differential Equations
Abstract: In many chemical and biological oscillators, one would like to find approximations to the observed periodic solutions. Usually this is done by trying to show that the initial value problem for the differential equation has a stable limit cycle and trying to compute the resulting solution. When the equation is an autonomous ordinary differential equation in more than two variables, this is often very difficult.
