Title: Дисперсионное расплывание ультракороткого лазерного импульса со скошенным фронтом интенсивности
Abstract: In relation to the problems of terahertz generation, we study the distortion of an ultrashort laser pulse with a tilted intensity front propagating in LiNbO3 and GaAs crystals. Calculations are carried out for an advanced scheme in which the tilt of the pulse front is created by a diffraction grating located on the input surface of the crystal. It is shown that in LiNbO3 the pulse is spread mainly by angular dispersion (due to the difference between directions of propagation of different pulse spectral components), while in GaAs it is spread by material dispersion of the medium. Recommendations for choosing optimal (in terms of optics-to-THz conversion efficiency) parameters of the grating and of the laser pulse are given.
