Title: The Nonprofit Service Provider’S Strategic Response to Anticipated Changes in Government Funding for Hiv/Aids Programs: the California Experience
Abstract: This study investigates nonprofit HIV/AIDS service providers’ strategic responses to anticipated changes in their future funding environments. The findings suggest that the service providers are willing to consider a broad range of strategic responses. Four underlying strategic dimensions are presented: Cost Management, Imagery, Revenue Producing, and Donative. Three dimensions were found to be influenced by the type of service provider. Specific strategies were identified to be significant given the type of service provider. Managerial and future research implications are addressed.
