Title: CUSTOMER FOCUSED SERVICE DESIGN FOR A SMALL SIZED TRANSIT SYSTEM IN EASTERN ONTARIO
Abstract: This conference paper describes a contractor's service review for Cornwall Transit in Eastern Ontario. The routing design was geared to accommodating the needs of 3 specific market segments as a method of increasing the overall ridership of the transit system: students, industrial employees, and seniors. The focus on all 3 market segments was brought together and reexamined to ensure that secondary destinations were conveniently accessible. Large retail complexes were then examined for each market group to ensure that they could be directly accessed by transit.
