Title: Protective effect of resveratrol on local cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats
Abstract: Objective To investigate the protective effects and mechanisms of resveratrol on local cerebral ischemia-reperfusion(I-R)injuryed rats.MethodsAnimal models of local cerebral ischemia-reperfusion were made by thread.Zea Longa method was used to evaluate behavioral change. After 6 h of reperfusion, the content of malondialdehyde(MDA),activities of glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)in brain tissue were measured.ResultsNeurological deficits can be obviously decreased by resveratrol.Resveratrol protected the activities of GSH-Px and SOD,reduced the content of MDA in brain tissue.ConclusionResveratrol has protective effect on local ischemia-reperfusion(I-R)injured rat,and the mechanism may relate to the increase of the antioxidase activities and the damage of oxygen free radicals.
