Abstract: This index of references pertaining to the book From Plight to Solution: A Jewish Framework for Understanding Paul's View of the Law in Galatians and Romans contains a list of references cited for this book. The book re-examines the possibility that Paul's view of the law owes its origin to an eschatological pattern common within some expressions of Judaism at the time he wrote. This re-examination of Paul in light of his Jewish heritage shows that he neither distorts Jewish soteriology nor provides evidence that first century Judaism was generally a meritorious religion, but that he applies to Christ's death and the coming of the Spirit a common concept within ancient Judaism. This re-reading offers a corrective to the picture of Paul the renegade or solitary colossus and locates him, somewhat more plausibly, within the complicated interplay of Jewish and Hellenistic forces which colored the environment of many first century Jews. Keywords: Christ's death; Galatians; Jews; meritorious religion; Paul; Romans
