Title: Strukturalna i metamorficzna ewolucja wschodniej okrywy granitu Karkonoszy w południowej części Rudaw Janowickich i Grzbiecie Lasockim.
Abstract: Ewolucja strukturalno-metamorficzna wschodniej okrywy granitu Karkonoszy obejmowala w badanym terenie trzy glowne etapy: D 1 , D 2 i D 3 . W etapie kontrakcyjnym D 1 doszlo do nasuniecia sie na siebie trzech duzych jednostek tektonicznych: Kowar, Niedamirowa i Leszczynca. Kierunek transportu tektonicznego byl ku WNW w dwoch pierwszych jednostkach i przypuszczalnie ku NNE w ostatniej. Z nasuwaniem wiązalo sie powstanie penetratywnej foliacji S 1 i lineacji L 1 . W początkowej fazie etapu D 1 jednostki tektoniczne ulegaly metamorfizmowi w roznych warunkach ciśnienia i temperatury: jednostka Kowar w gornym przedziale temperatur facji zielencowej przy umiarkowanym ciśnieniu, jednostka Niedamirowa w facji niebieskich lupkow, a jednostka Leszczynca w facji epidotowo-amfibolitowej. W efekcie przemieszczen tektonicznych doszlo do ujednolicenia warunkow metamorfizmu we wszystkich jednostkach pod koniec etapu D 1 . W jednostce Kowar warunki P-T nie ulegaly zmianom, natomiast w jednostkach Niedamirowa i Leszczynca deformacji D 1 towarzyszylo przejście do warunkow facji zielencowej. W etapie ekstensyjnym D 2 na skale regionalną rozwinąl sie kolaps grawitacyjny ku ESE. W jego wyniku nastąpilo sukcesywne podnoszenie ku zachodowi jednostek tektonicznych polozonych coraz nizej w profilu pionowym. Glowne strefy przemieszczen byly zlokalizowane wzdluz wschodniej granicy jednostki Kowar oraz wzdluz zachodniej krawedzi depresji środsudeckiej. Pierwsza z tych stref miala charakter podatny, a druga kruchy. W jednostce Kowar etap D 2 byl związany z podatnym ścinaniem. Deformacja zachodzila w warunkach metamorfizmu o niskim gradiencie P/T. W jej rezultacie doszlo do powstania nowej, penetratywnej foliacji S 2 i lineacji L 2 w lupkach lyszczykowych i w metabazytach nalezących do jednostki Kowar. Jednostki Niedamirowa i Leszczynca w etapie D 2 ulegly deformacjom podatno-kruchym. Powstale w nich struktury deformacyjne S 2 i L 2 są niepenetratywne. Kolaps grawitacyjny ku ESE wskazuje na dzialanie w etapie D 2 ekstensji o kierunku WNW-ESE. Efektem ekstensji bylo szybkie obnizanie sie podloza depresji środsudeckiej i związana z nim sedymentacja gruboklastycznych osadow lądowych o miązszości 4000 m. Z koncową fazą etapu D 2 wiązala sie intruzja granitu Karkonoszy. W ostatnim etapie D 3 powstala poludnikowa fleksura wschodnich Karkonoszy. Na sklonie fleksury sfaldowane zostaly skaly metamorficzne oraz przylegle do nich od wschodu dolnokarbonskie zlepience depresji środsudeckiej. Structural and metamorphic evolution of the country rocks at the eastern contact of the Karkonosze granite in the southern Rudawy Janowickie Mts and Lasocki Range Abstract Tectono-metamorphic evolution of the metamorphic envelope of the eastern contact of the Karkonosze granite involved three main events: D 1 , D 2 and D 3 . The contractional event D 1 was related to overthrusting of three large tectonic units: Kowary Unit, Niedamirow Unit and Leszczyniec Unit. The direction of the tectonic transport was to WNW in the former two units and probably to NNE in the latter one. Development of the penetrative foliation S 1 and lineation L 1 was associated with overthrusts. The tectonic units were metamorphosed under different P-T conditions during the initial phase of the D 1 event. The Kowary Unit experienced greenschist facies, the Niedamirow Unit - blueschist facies and the Leszczyniec Unit - epidote-amphibolite facies conditions. As the result of overthrusting all three units went through convergent P-T paths during D 1 . Metamorphic conditions were invariable in the Kowary unit whereas the P-T gradient decreased to the MP greenschist facies in the Niedamirow and Leszczyniec Units. The kinematics of the D 2 deformation suggests an ESE-directed gravitational collapse in the area. Normal displacements on the eastern margin of the Karkonosze-Izera Block resulted in westward uplift of progressively deeper tectonic units. The largest displacement took place along the eastern contact of the Kowary Unit and at the boundary with the Intra-Sudetic Basin. The kinematics of brittle normal faults which bound the Intra-Sudetic Basin on the west are equivalent to the ductile normal shearing in the metamorphic complex. In the Kowary Unit the D 2 deformation was related to the ductile shearing accompanied by LP/HT metamorphism. New penetrative foliation S 2 and lineation L 2 were produced in the mica schists and metabasites of the Kowary Unit during D 2 . On the contrary, the Niedamirow and Leszczyniec units experienced mainly brittle-ductile deformation at the same time. The D 2 deformational structures are not penetrative in these units. ESE-directed gravitational collapse provides the evidence of regional WNW-ESE extension during D 2 . The extension must have controlled the subsidence of the Intra-Sudetic Basin, where a 4000 m thick coarse-clastic sequence of Visean continental sediments was deposited. The emplacement of the Karkonosze granite may also be related to this extension phase. The last deformation, D 3 , produced a longitudinal flexure along the eastern contact of the Karkonosze granite. The metamorphic rocks and the Lower Carboniferous conglomerates of the Intra-Sudetic Basin which are adjacent to the east side of the area were folded in the flexural zone.
