Title: [Pathophysiology and diagnosis of bradyarrhythmias in sick sinus syndrome].
Abstract: The sick sinus syndrome (SSS) is a complex cardiac disturbance involving impulse formation and conduction. Anatomy and physiology of the sinus node and atrial conduction are reviewed and the pathophysiology of bradycardia and tachycardia in the SSS is discussed. Finally, a practical approach to diagnosis is outlined.
