Based on case studies, including work already done as part of the Visual Intelligences Research Project run by Rebecca Fortnum, the presentation asks how artists’ decision making informs the quality of their process, and the work that emerges from that process.It will look particularly at how artists experience and assesses their own work.
This presentation is offered in order to stimulate discussions about the relationship of value, quality and artists’ methods. It will relate to the wider issues of the conference, and to the approach of Sensuous Knowledge in developing knowledge through practice, with artists and in terms of artist-centred research that aims to open up practice to the wider field of research enquiry.Read More
