Abstract: The article describes steps taken to limit truck traffic in the streets of Buffalo, New York. Heavy truck traffic was ruining pavement in residential streets. After meetings with interested groups, truck routes were designated for truck traffic through the city. Truck traffic was banned from all other streets except for trucks making deliveries. The article describes the steps taken to implement the program, including the ordinances involved, and a description of the results of the program.
