Abstract: For the past 10 years the City of Calgary, in Alberta, Canada, has used a Transportation Improvement Priority study process to determine the order of its major investments in transportation infrastructure. This paper outlines the public interaction in a transportation priority setting exercise and focuses on the use of surveys done to determine public perceptions of problems and priorities.
