En concreto se analizan los conceptos de prototipo, gradiente de tipicidad, atributos y semejanza. EnglishThis work is a revision, which does not pretend to be exhaustive, of some of the main assumptions in the research of Eleanor Rosch on natural categories, as well as the revision of its main critiques. Specifically, the concepts of prototype, gradient of typicality, attributes and similarity are analyzed. In the first place, Rosch's work is framed in the complex issue underlying categories and concepts, which is still unresolved up to date. Next, the different conceptions on prototype are analyzed, which more or less agree with two different periods in Rosch's work. Also, the ambiguity which seems to characterize this author on the definition of prototype, as well as on the concepts of attributes and similarity, is considered. Two of the main deficiencies are constituted by the absence of a clear theoretical and epistemological perspective and of the necessary consideration of the specificity and radical diversity of the different conceptual domains, which require different taxonomies that cannot be analyzed in the same manner. On the positive side of her contributions, it is worth mentioning the possibility presented by Rosch for the generalization and application of the structural principles of categorization of different domains not strictly psychological. However, this possibility also implies some other problems, such as the frequent overlapping in the problematic study of lexical meaning and conceptual structuringRead More
