Abstract: The importance and acreage of cauliflower in the Yuma area is second only to head lettuce. The acreage increased approximately 1,000 acres per year for the last 5 years; 6,500 acres were planted in the 1986/1987 season, according to the Arizona Fruit and Vegetable Standardization. In western Arizona, cauliflower is planted from mid -August through November and harvested from November through March.
