With new charging schemes emerging in Europe, it is necessary to enrich this model. Asecap (Association Europeenne des Concessionnaires d'Autoroutes et d'Ouvrages a Peage) and administrations of 5 European countries (4 Member States plus Switzerland) have decided to cooperate in a new project - Cesare III, with the objective to provide a contractual framework for the European Electronic Toll Service.
