We analyzed 494 questionnaires received from 10 Chinese universities, and we have six major findings: (1) Entrepreneurship education plays a more important role than prior entrepreneurial experience in establishing an individual’s entrepreneurship knowledge base. (2) Prior exposure to entrepreneurial experience is significantly negatively related to Chinese students’ entrepreneurial intentions. (3) Entrepreneurship education has a significantly positive causal effect on Chinese students’ entrepreneurial intentions. (4) Such education has a significantly positive interactive impact through gender, university type, and study major. (5) Entrepreneurship education has more impact on students’ entrepreneurial intentions in technology-based universities and majors than in non-tech universities and majors, and it is more effective for males than females. (6) The perceived desirability of entrepreneurship is positively related to entrepreneurial intentions.Read More
