Title: EXPERIMENTAL STRESS ANALYSIS OF COMPOSITE MATERIALS
Abstract: Experimental stress analysis techniques and their application to composite materials are described and discussed. These include strain gages, photoelastic coatings, moire and holography applied to glass-epoxy, boron-epoxy and graphite-epoxy composites. Strain gages are used extensively to determine stress-strain behavior to failure, strain distributions and concentrations.
