Abstract: Cross-genre exploration of a wide range of song repertoire in a two-hour collaborative concert between pop singer Tyrone Noonan (george) and Topology.Robert Davidson and Tyrone Noonan jointly curated this two-hour concert of original music and arrangements of popular songs, including work by Kurt Weill, The Beatles, The Saints, Tom Waits, Radiohead, The Go-Betweens, Philip Glass and Michael Nyman. The project is an investigation into opportunities for collaborative creativity in transgressing boundaries between art music and popular music, both in style and approach.
