Title: "1 METER" SATELLITE BASED NAVIGATION SOLUTIONS FOR THE MOBILE ENVIRONMENT THAT ALREADY ARE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT EUROPE
Abstract: Navigation and positioning are becoming important parts for many ITS related applications. We can see an increasing use of satellite navigation such as Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global Navigation Satellite System (Glonass), where GPS today represents the most commonly used system. Satellite navigation is a convenient solution because it works by itself all over the world, 24 hour/day, with low price hardware, etc. Those facts have been known for some time, but demands for higher accuracy and higher availability has driven the development of add-on systems. This paper discusses Differential GPS via RDS and some new solutions for the positioning and navigation area. For the covering abstract, see IRRD 490001.
