Title: Effect of Thickness of Alq3 as an Emissive Layer on the Performance of Organic Light Emitting Diodes
Abstract: Organic Light Emitting Diods with ITO/PEDOT:PSS/PVK/Alq3/LiF/Al structure were fabricated. The effect of thickness of Tris (8-Hydroxyquinolinato) Aluminum on the Characteristic of OLEDs were studied, in order to optimize the Alq3 as an emitting layer. The Alq3 layer was evaporated on the PVK layer for thickness ranging from 15 to 130 nm and I-V characteristic and electroluminescence were investigated. It was found that the Alq3 with 85 nm thicknesses gives the highest electrotoluminescence, as well as the lowest threshold voltage of the device.
