The economic analysis included cassava and maize cultivation over the total experimental period, based on the premise that family-scale agricultural production should be diverse in space and time, making use of opportunities to ensure a regular income according to the market supply and demand for the raw products. The intrinsic nature of the soils of the Jurua region and their current management further accelerate the deterioration of the physical and chemical quality, which requires a technical solution to reverse the situation. One alternative is the management of already deforested and burned areas with technologies of soil quality recovery and maintenance, with agronomic, economic, and environmental gains that contribute to the reduction of deforestation and to abolish the use of fire in family production in the region.
