Title: Abordagem experimental da capacidade de suporte de um solo tropical arenoso reforçado com geotêxteis
Abstract: Este estudo apresenta os resultados de uma série de ensaios CBR com o objetivo de investigar os parâmetros de resistência de um solo tropical arenoso, reforçado com dois geotêxteis tecidos biaxiais, constituídos de laminetes de polipropileno, e com um geotêxtil não tecido agulhado, fabricado com poliéster. O solo utilizado no estudo é proveniente de um perfil de solos desenvolvidos de gnaisse e anfibolitos da região de Viçosa, Zona da Mata mineira, sendo identificado como Solo VS e classificado de acordo com a metodologia MCT como de comportamento não-laterítico arenoso (NA’), laterítico Os geotêxteis foram identificados conforme a sua constituição estrutural e resistência à tração nominal como: T55 (tecido com resistência à tração de 55kN/m); T25 (tecido com resistência à tração de 25kN/m); e NT10 (não tecido com resistência à tração máxima de 10kN/m). A metodologia de investigação envolveu a realização de ensaios Proctor normal para a determinação dos parâmetros ótimos de compactação e ensaios CBR nas amostras não reforçadas (referência) e reforçadas, com as inclusões posicionadas à H/2 e 1/4H do topo dos corpos de prova. Como principal contribuição da pesquisa, conclui-se que, devido às reduzidas dimensões do molde padrão, o ensaio CBR pode não ser o procedimento mais adequado para a avaliação da capacidade de suporte de solos reforçados por geotêxteis.
