Abstract: In 16th and 17th centuries, Europe faced great persecutions of witches. For a long time, these persecutions were considered as result of a specific type of literature: the demonological treatises.Currently, these works are considered as a result of this phenomenon.Through the analysis of these sources, one considered a re-elaboration of folk tales in versions related to magic and witchcraft. Thus, one did the mapping of the intruder's narrative, considering its structuring of its flexible narrative thread and its variations. This study recovered narratives that were intertwined in the elaboration of this construct, which made possible the scholarly attestation of this mythical gathering of witches: the sabbat. One observed its construction based on long-lived myths, medieval novels, and finally, its exploitation by the scholars of the Early Modern Period.
