Abstract: Bandgap Modulation In article number 2303198, Weida Hu, Zhuhua Zhang, Haomin Wang, and co-workers report effective bandgap modulation in zigzag-oriented hexagonal boron nitride nanoribbons (zBNNRs) via water adsorption. The water layer adsorbed along the edges is believed to create a huge transverse potential and then greatly reduces the bandgap. The conductance of ≈8 nm-wide zBNNRs can be tuned over 3 orders in magnitude via gating at room temperature.
