Title: Optimization of a Quechers–Lc-Ms/Ms Method for 51 Pesticide Residues Followed by Determination of the Residue Levels and Dietary Intake Risk Assessment in Foodstuffs
Abstract: A modified QuEChERS purification–liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method was developed to determine 51 pesticide residues with new established MRLs in different foodstuffs. Samples were extracted in acetonitrile under citrate-buffered conditions using hydroxylated MWCNTs, SAX, and C18 as modified purifying QuEChERS adsorbents. The limits of quantification were 0.2–9.8 μg/kg, and the average recoveries were in the range of 70.2–117.9%, with relative standard deviations of 2.3–19.9% at 5, 10, and 50 μg/kg. The method was applied to analyze 352 samples collected from the market. The results showed that 14 pesticides were detected in 97 samples. Pesticide residue levels in vegetables such as afidopyropen, cyantraniliprole, and fluxapyroxad showed a consistent pattern of being high in spring and winter and low in summer and fall. Acute and chronic dietary exposure risk assessment was performed for the pesticides detected in 11 vegetables and fruits, and the pesticide residues in all samples were low risk.
