Title: Analysis of Energy Harvesting from Human Motion
Abstract: Energy harvesting technology has shown promising outcomes as a replacement or supplementing a battery with the development of compact and low power sensors and systems. In this work we present the analysis of piezoelectric harvester from human motion. The acceleration data of lower leg and hip at various speeds were taken from database of EPSRC holistic energy harvesting project of Southampton University, UK. These data are simulated for piezoelectric energy harvesting to check the feasibility of amount of energy harvested. The results show promising voltage output to power up the wearable sensors.
