In recent years, these devices have received a lot of attention because of their ability to change their optical properties when a voltage is applied across their terminals. There is currently a lot of research being carried out in this domain to enhance the flexibility of these devices. This article highlights the various structures of electrochromic devices. The article provides an overview of electrochromic materials as well as a comparison of the traditional seven-layer structure with five-layer, four-layer, and three-layer structures. The procedure of switching metal oxide to conductive polymers as an electrochromic material such as PEDOT: PSS, Polyalanine is also discussed in this review.Read More
